Since September 2006, Taste and See Ministries has been teaching a class at Anna Ogden Hall in Spokane, WA. The eight-week class called Tea 101 teaches everything including the history of tea, how to properly brew tea, tea trends and tea etiquette. The women also learn skills such as how to provide excellent customer service, how to resolve conflicts with fellow employees and how to communicate effectively. These classes are taught in preparation for hiring staff at the tearoom.
Here are a few comments from some of our Tea 101 students:

I look forward to working in the tea room with Thada & Jan and experiencing a new type of employment. All those year's of holding my little finger out was incorrect. Working in the tea room will be uplifting and fun. Taking the Tea 101 class was a happy experience.

I've learned the difference between all the different types of teas and how good white tea is. I also like taking this class because we get to try alot of good food.

I wanted to take the "Tea 101" class because I have fond memories of having tea parties when I was a little girl. I have enjoyed learning about all the different health benefits that tea has.
Mo has enjoyed the "Tea 101" class so much that she has taken it twice! This is what she has to say:
I"ve loved taking the "Tea 101" class. Not only are Thada & Jan such wonderful Christian ladies, but I've learned so much about tea and all the little interesting tid bits about each tea that the tearoom will be serving. It's so interesting hearing about the history of tea and getting to taste test each one. There are so many different varities of tea, and there is also the herbals. You are in for a great time and your pallette will love all the homemade scones and different kinds of baked goods. I can't wait to move into the new location and begin the internship program.
